He is a former IAF fighter pilot, an accomplished flier with nearly 4000 hrs of flying experience. He has under gone the prestigious ‘Qualified Flying Instructor’ course and the ‘Fighter Combat Leader’ course with the IAF and has an instructional experience on both, the piston engine aircraft and the jets. He has flown a variety of aircraft and is most experienced on the state-of the art, Mirage 2000. He was specially selected to perform ‘Solo Low Level aerobatics’ on the Mirage 2000 on the Air Force day over Palam airport. He is on the Limca book of records for being the first ever Indian Pilot to fire the Super 530D ‘Beyond Visual Range’ missile on a live target from the Mirage 2000.He is well versed with the commercial flying training and specializes in both VFR and IFR training aspects . |

Capt Deepak Kumar Swain, a Pilot with passion to excel, heads Flying Training operations at GATI. Himself a product of GATI, he has more than 2700 Hours of flying to his credit. He had worked in other flying clubs before joining GATI. With his rich experience in flying training, he is a role model for every trainee pilot.

Wg Cdr B K Prusty heads Ground school training at GATI. He has had a long stint of twenty five years in the IAF involving flying duties, flying training, organization, administration, project evaluation and implementation. He was a qualified flying Instructor In IAF and has imparted flying & ground training to abinitio pilots of Airforce for more than 11yrs .

“M.K. Giri had started his career as Trainee AME at GATI in the year of 1992 and reached to hold the post of Quality Manager in the year of 2010 at GATI itself. He has 22 years of Aviation experience in General Aviation, Flying Training & AME Training Institutions. In most of the organizations he has worked as AME, Chief Instructor, Quality Control Manager , Maintenance Manager and Quality Manager. He is an AME having open rating in light Aircraft and piston engine and basic papers for Heavy Airplane and Jet engine.”

Uttam Kumar strated his career in Flying Training ans grown to the level of Dy Quality Control Manager ( Dy QCM) at GATI. He heads the maintenance operations and ensures that quality standards are maintained which ensures safe and uninterrupted flying training. And has 14yrs of rich experience in the filed of maintenance and qulaity assurance in Flying training. In addition to above, he is also responsible for imparting On the job training to different AME students at GATI.

Wg Cdr Chakraverty served in Indian Airforce for more than 22yrs in diverse roles as Meteorology Officer and has taken instructional classes for pilots during his career with services. His experience in IAF and subsequently in managing the affairs Air Force School School, New Delhi, brings his rich experience in training, management of Student affairs and of course an Expert Meteorologist to GATI.
